You can ask a staff at the cafe for a bilingual (Japanese/English) booklet-style, small menu. Inside the booklet is a list of ingredients of each item. They have some vegan desserts. You can take the menu with you, and order sweets via mail, phone, fax, or email.
I ordered a pot of green tea and "Soy milk, white adzuki bean and kudzu jelly" (not vegan). The teapot may seem awfully small, but don't worry, the waitress/waiter will come back to refill the pot for a few times. (6/12/04)
